General Packaging Questions

Q: What types of packaging do you supply?
A: We supply a wide range of packaging solutions, including paper bags, courier bags, food packaging, cartons, tapes, strapping, protective packaging, and eco-friendly alternatives. Whether you need packaging for retail, e-commerce, or food service, we’ve got you covered.

Q: Do you offer eco-friendly packaging options?
A: Yes! We stock compostable courier bags, recycled paper bags, biodegradable wraps, and many recyclable products. Our goal is to provide sustainable packaging choices that meet New Zealand businesses’ needs.

Q: What’s the difference between compostable, biodegradable, and recyclable packaging?
A: Compostable packaging breaks down into nutrient-rich compost, biodegradable packaging eventually breaks down into natural elements (but not always quickly), and recyclable packaging can be collected and processed into new products. You can read our blog post here for a full breakdown.

Q: Are your products food-safe?
A: Many of our packaging products, including food containers, bags, and wraps, are certified food-safe. Product descriptions will specify if they are approved for direct food contact. You can request a copy of certification on specific products.

Q: Can I get samples before placing a bulk order?
A: Yes, samples are available for most products. Get in touch with our team and we’ll organise this for you. Some products are sold individually so we can sell single items for you to try.


Ordering & Customisation

Q: Do you offer custom-printed packaging?
A: Yes, we can print your logo or branding on a wide range of bags, boxes, and other packaging items. We would need specific information like artwork, quantity and product sizes and provide you with a quotation.

Q: What is the minimum order quantity (MOQ) for custom printing?
A: Minimum quantities vary depending on the product and printing method. Contact us with your requirements and we’ll confirm the details.

Q: How do I place an order?
A: You can order online through our website, by email, or by calling our sales team directly.

Q: Can I order in small quantities or only bulk?
A: We supply both bulk and smaller quantities to suit different business needs. Some minimum packs apply.

Q: Do you offer last-minute print services?
A: Yes, for selected products we offer a “Last Minute Print” service with a quicker turnaround. Ideal if you need custom bags in a hurry. Last minute print services are only available on some products.

Q: Is there a minimum order value?

A: No. You can order what you need without worrying about a minimum spend value. There is an added Delivery Charge for local Orders under a $100 order value. Spend over $100 and delivery is Free in Christchurch. Additional freight costs will always apply to deliveries outside the Christchurch Area.

Q: How do I place an order on the website?

A: Browse the website and add items to your cart. At checkout, enter your details and submit the order. The order will come to our Customer Service inbox where we will process the order and apply any quantity discount rates and additional freight costs. We will then email you a PROFORMA INVOICE with the correct pricing. You can then pay for this order via the PAYBY LINK in the email or by ONLINE BANKING. Once we have received your payment, we will send out your order

Q: Can I pay via the Website?

A: Our website is not an E-Commerce website so we do not have an online payment checkout. You can SUBMIT an order via the website and we will then follow up with an INVOICE that will be emailed to you for payment.

Q: Once I have submitted my order can I cancel it?

A: Yes. If you do not wish to proceed with the order, you can reply to our email and advise us that you wish to cancel your order. By SUBMITTING the order via the website you have not committed yourself to the sale.


Sustainability & Compliance

Q: Are your paper bags FSC®-certified?
A: Yes, our recycled paper carry bags are FSC®-certified, made from 100% recycled fibre.

Q: Are your compostable products certified to Australian/NZ standards?
A: Yes, our compostable products meet recognised standards for compostability. Please check individual product descriptions for certification details.

Q: Which of your products are recyclable in New Zealand?
A: Most of our paper-based products and selected plastics can be recycled through New Zealand’s kerbside and soft plastics recycling systems. Always check with your local council for accepted materials.

Q: Do your products meet NZ environmental legislation for compostable and recyclable claims?
A: Yes, we carefully ensure our environmental claims align with NZ and Australian legislation.

Q: Can I add my own sustainability message to custom-printed bags?
A: Absolutely. Many businesses choose to include eco-friendly messages or recycling symbols on their printed packaging.


Delivery & Shipping

Q: Do you deliver nationwide in New Zealand?
A: Yes, we deliver throughout NZ, from major cities to regional towns. We have our own local delivery drivers servicing Christchurch and use a variety of courier and freight companies to get you the best freight price available.

Q: How much does shipping cost?
A: Shipping costs vary depending on order size and delivery location. We’ll confirm costs at checkout or when you place your order. Freight pricing is based on weight and the cubic size of the parcel. We do not have a flat rate for shipping as freight costs vary greatly between locations and for the sizes of each parcel. We calculate the freight using the freight company’s online system and calculate each order individually to get you the exact rate that we will be charged by the freight company.

Q: Do you deliver to rural areas, including the South Island and North Island?
A: Yes, we deliver to rural addresses across NZ. Delivery times may be slightly longer for rural locations.

Q: Can I pick up my order from your Christchurch store?
A: Yes, you can collect orders directly from our Christchurch warehouse. Just let us know when you order.

Q: How long will my order take to arrive?
A: Standard delivery is usually 1–3 working days for South Island and 2–5 working days for North Island addresses. Rural delivery may take longer.


Accounts & Payments

Q: Do you offer credit accounts for businesses?
A: Yes, business accounts are available on application. Please contact us to set this up. We do require a minimum of 6 month Cash Sale trading history with regular monthly purchases.

Q: What payment methods do you accept?
A: We accept credit card (Mastercard and Visa), Eftpos, bank transfer, Payby Link and approved account payments.

Q: Can I pay by credit card, bank transfer, or on account?
A: Yes — we offer all three payment options.

Q: Do you charge GST?
A: Yes, all prices are in NZD and exclude GST (pricing on website is GST exclusive). We will send you an Invoice with the GST inclusive total amount.

Q: Can I get a copy of my invoice?
A: Yes, we can email you a copy of your invoice at any time.


Health & Safety (Warehouse/Business Customers)

Q: Do you have safety data sheets (SDS) for tapes, films, or chemicals?
A: Yes, SDS are available on request for applicable products.

Q: Do you supply packaging that complies with food safety standards?
A: Yes, our food packaging products are food-safe and comply with NZ standards.

Q: What safety procedures do you follow when delivering with forklifts and vehicles?
A: Our drivers and warehouse team follow strict health & safety protocols, including forklift operation training, PPE use, and safe delivery practices.


Returns & Issues

Q: What is your returns policy?
A: Returns are accepted for faulty or incorrectly supplied products. Please contact us within 7 days of delivery to arrange a return. If you order incorrectly, there may be a 20% restocking fee. All custom printed and custom ordered products are non refundable.

Q: What if my order is damaged on arrival?
A: If your order arrives damaged, please contact us immediately with photos so we can resolve it quickly.

Q: Who do I contact if I have a problem with my delivery?
A: You can reach our customer service team by phone or email and we’ll sort it out promptly.
