  • Expanded polystyrene (EPS) food and beverage packaging
  • Oxo and photo-degradable plastic products

From mid-2023, the following items will be banned;

  • Plastic Produce bags
  • Plastic plates, bowls, cutlery

At Shardlows Packaging we stock a very wide range of alternative cardboard and paper packaging to replace the banned products.

The following alternatives can be used;

  • Plastic produce bags – use block bottom paper bags or reusable cotton produce bags
  • Plastic plates, bowls – use bamboo or cornstarch packaging
  • Plastic cutlery – use wooden cutlery
  • Plastic straws – use paper straws
  • Plastic containers and trays – use cardboard takeaway trays and boxes

We stock DETPAK paper bags, cardboard food packaging and trays and ECOWARE bamboo and cornstarch packaging and wooden cutlery.

If you require any advice or further help on making the change to more sustainable paper packaging, please contact us. We are here to help you make the change and we have lots of alternative options for you.
